  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Lead response to critical infrastructure incidents and coordinate recovery efforts.
  • Participate in a 24/7 shift rotation while acting as the senior technical escalation point during assigned shifts.

Electrical & Mechanical Infrastructure

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, ATS systems, PDUs, cooling systems, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, and liquid cooling infrastructure.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and acceptance of new infrastructure.
  • Monitor capacity, redundancy, and system performance while identifying opportunities for optimization.

Data Center Operations

  • Lead daily inspections and operational health checks across technical spaces.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance, vendor activities, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Review maintenance quality and ensure operational readiness before returning equipment to service.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, operating procedures, and technical runbooks.

Incident Response & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead root cause analysis for critical incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs and operational procedures.
  • Drive initiatives to improve infrastructure reliability, efficiency, and resilience.
  • Support change management and ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.

Technical Leadership

  • Mentor and support Critical Infrastructure Engineers, providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in developing shift procedures, operational standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Hardware, Networking, Security, Facilities, and Engineering teams to support reliable data center operations.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience operating critical infrastructure in data centers or other mission-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution, cooling systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Experience working with BMS, DCIM, SCADA, or similar monitoring platforms.
  • Proven experience leading incident response and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in hyperscale or AI data centers.
  • Knowledge of liquid-cooled AI infrastructure and high-density power environments.
  • Familiarity with Schneider Electric, Vertiv, ABB, Siemens, Eaton, or similar infrastructure platforms.
  • Understanding of redundancy architectures (N+1, 2N) and data center operational best practices.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading small technical teams.
  • Basic Linux, networking, or DCIM automation knowledge.
